Deadrich Real Estate: Continuing the Tradition:

My family's firm was founded in 1923 by my great-grandfather, John A. Deadrich, Junior. The present location at 581 East 14th Street was opened in 1931.

In 1937, my grandfather, John III, joined the firm, officially making it a family business. The end of World War II brought brought many opportunities for growth in the East Bay and with Deadrich Real Estate. The firm became exclusive agents for many builders during the East Bay's initial growth.

My family's firm has a tradition of innovation, hard work and service. My grandfather founded the Bay East Association of Realtors, known in his day as the Southern Alameda County Association of Realtors, and encouraged agents from Alameda, Oakland, San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Hayward and Castro Valley to share their listings with one another. This was the first multiple listing service of its kind in the east bay and was rapidly adopted throughout California. He served as its founding President in 1947 and again in 1957.

In 1962 my dad, Hank, joined the firm and became the third generation to become involved in the family business. He became President of the firm in 1983.

Our family has successfully weathered the onslaught of franchised brokerage and corporate takeovers over the last 80 years and my father will continue our tradition of personal service and community involvement.

  The 4th Generation
The year 2003 marked two milestones for Deadrich Real Estate - we began our eighth decade in the real estate business and I joined the firm, making Deadrich Real Estate a fourth generation real estate brokerage.

I bring ten years of commercial construction lending expertise to the firm and most recently was the manager of the Northern California Commercial Real Estate Division of a local bank. I've obtained my GRI designation and my e-PRO certification. I'm working towards my CRS designation and I've held an active Broker license since 1992.

I am excited about continuing my family's long "Tradition of Service" and look forward to the opportunity to be of service to you in the near future.
